Colorado National Monument
One can easily spend a few hours, half a day, or even more discovering the wonders of the Colorado National Monument. Situated to the west of Grand Junction, Colorado, near the northern edge of the Uncompahgre Plateau, it covers an impressive 20,500 acres (32 square miles). The monument features six canyons, each showcasing unique cliffs and sandstone monoliths. Officially designated by presidential proclamation in 1911, it is an essential highlight of the Grand Valley.
The Colorado National Monument boasts steep-walled canyons carved deep into sandstone and granite–gneiss–schist rock formations. This region is a desert landscape elevated on the Colorado Plateau, adorned with pinyon and juniper forests. There will be lots of great photo opportunities during your tour.

THE GRAND MESA
The Grand Mesa is a vast mesa located in western Colorado, USA. It holds the title of the largest flat-topped mountain globally. Covering approximately 500 square miles, it extends around 40 miles east of Grand Junction, nestled between the Colorado River and its southern tributary, the Gunnison River.

Little Bookcliffs Wild Horse Area
The 1971 Wild and Free-Roaming Horse and Burro Act provides for the management, protection, and control of all unbranded and unclaimed horses and burros on public lands administered by the BLM.
The Little book Cliffs Wild Horse Range located between De Beque and Grand Junction is one of only three ranges in the U.S. set aside specifically to protect wild horses. It encompasses over 36,000 acres of rugged canyons and plateaus. More than 100 horses roam the sagebrush parks and pinyon-juniper covered hills.
